Shaohong Huang is a professor, a chief physician and a master’s degree student supervisor. Dr. Huang is now the Director of the Stomatological Hospital affiliated with Southern Medical University, the Director of the Guangdong Oral Health Center, and the Honorary Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Prevention and Treatment for Stomatological Diseases. He holds additional posts as the Standing Director of the Chinese Stomatological Association, the Vice Director of the Professional Committee of Dental Preventive Medicine of the Chinese Stomatological Association, a Standing Member of the Professional Committee of Oral Health Care of the Chinese Preventive Medicine Association, a Member of the Expert Committee of the China Oral Health Foundation, the Vice Chairman of the Guangdong Medical Education Association, the Director of the Professional Committee of Oral Preventive Medicine of the Guangdong Stomatological Association, the Director of the Professional Committee of Dental Medical Management of the Guangdong Province Hospital Association, and the Vice Director of the Professional Committee of Nosocomial Infection Management of the Guangdong Province Hospital Association. He graduated from Sun Yat-sen Medical University, in 1988.

Dr. Huang is an expert in oral preventive medicine and has conducted in-depth research on oral epidemiology, oral disease prevention methods and health education. As an oral medicine expert, he possesses rich clinical experience in the diagnosis and treatment of children’s dental diseases, endodontic diseases and periapical diseases.

He has been engaged in editing and publication for 30 years, and successively served as Editorial Director, Associate Editor-in-Chief and Honorary Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Prevention and Treatment for Stomatological Diseases. In 2019, he won the “Innovation Dedication Award” issued by the China Periodicals Association.
