Jianjiang Zhao is a doctor, a chief physician, a professor, a doctoral supervisor, a postdoctoral cosupervisor and an expert in oral and maxillofacial surgery. He serves as the Director of Shenzhen Stomatological Hospital of Southern Medical University (Shenzhen Dental Medical Center of Guangdong Province).Dr. Zhao concurrently serves as the Standing Director of the Guangdong Stomatological Association, a Standing Member of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Professional Committee of the Guangdong Stomatological Association, the Vice Director of the Geriatric Stomatology Committee of the Guangdong Stomatological Association and the Associate Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Prevention and Treatment for Stomatological Diseases. Dr. Zhao, by combining stomatology with biomaterials, laser medicine, molecular biology and other disciplines, has conducted a series of basic research studies on the early diagnosis, prevention and treatment of oral cancer as well as the repair and reconstruction of oral and maxillofacial bone defects from diverse aspects and perspectives. He has instructed over 30 master’s degree and doctoral students, published over 80 professional papers in domestic and foreign journals, including more than 30 SCI papers, and undertaken more than 10 national, provincial and municipal scientific research projects, including 2 National Natural Science Foundation of China projects.
